Hotel Sankaas is situated on the northern part of Bornholm between the fishing-towns of Tejn and Allinge-Sandvig. The name Sandkaas is derived from small bays between the cliffs, where you find small white sandy beaches between dunes and red and grey rocks partly covered with heather and grass. The varying picturesque countryside around the hotel offers you a great deal of holiday-activities. For those who like tracking and walking there are different paths through the changing landscape. Take the path along the coast north to Allinge
(About 2 miles) or south to Tejn with its interesting fishing harbour. Not far away from the hotel „Storedal“ is situated, a raft valley with vertical rocky walls on both sides. Cycling is very popular on Bornholm, too. The local council has built a net of special bicycle paths of about 180 miles away from the roads and across the beautiful nature.
